In a recent, hilariously candid episode of “It Is What It Is” with Cam’ron and Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson, Mase took us on a side-splitting trip down memory lane on being stuck in Hotel Bloodifornia!
Cam’ron couldn’t resist but ask Mase about that fateful night in 1997 when Biggie met his unfortunate end in the City of Angels.
Mase, with a sly grin, recounted that he was holed up in a hotel at the time. He quipped, “Where was I?
Mase then dropped the bombshell that he was practically trapped in that hotel room, revealing that he was actually “in the hotel with a young lady” when the chaos unfolded.
Apparently, there were around “70 or so Bloods” loitering in the hallway, turning it into a makeshift Bloods convention. Mase was like, “Hotel California? More like Hotel Bloodifornia!”
When asked to explain why there were “70 Bloods” on the prowl, Mase humorously theorized that they were perhaps on the hunt for more Bad Boy artists. It was the ultimate talent scouting operation. Imagine a Blood gang talent show in the hallway! Was Suge trying to sign Mase to Death Row Records?
But fear not, dear readers, for Mase’s safety wasn’t entirely left to chance. He finally made his great escape, thanks to none other than Bad Boy bodyguard Gene Deal
Who knew the hip-hop world was so cutthroat? One moment you’re hanging with friends, and the next, you’re navigating a hotel full of Bloods and engaging in elaborate escape plans.
So there you have it, folks – the incredible, laughter-inducing story of Mase, the hotel, the Bloods, and the ever-elusive Bad Boy artists. Hip-hop history truly has never been this side-splitting!
