Gucci Mane, the Trapper turned Rapper turned Rap Label CEO, shared his opinion during a recent episode of his wife’s “All Things Keyshia Ka’oir” podcast.

Keyshia asked her husband, So the streets want to know why all your 1017 artists keep going to jail? Let’s take a closer look at some of the 1017 artists and their legal issues:

  • Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano: Both artists are currently serving five-year sentences. Pooh Shiesty faced a firearm conspiracy case, while Foogiano violated his bond conditions related to a firearm possession charge.

  • Hoodrich Pablo Juan: Serving five years for a RICO case.

  • Ralo: After six years in prison on drug conspiracy charges, Ralo was recently released1.

  • Yung Mal: Behind bars for murder.
  •  
  • Hotboy Wes: Arrested on a robbery charge in 2022.
  •  
  • Mac Critter: Arrested in 2023 on first-degree murder charges.
  •  
  • Big Scarr: Tragically passed away from a drug overdose in December 2022 at just 22 years old.

I try… to help those artists that I feel like… I see a lot of myself in,” he added. “So, with that being said, I try to ride it out with them through their bumps or whatever they’re going through. But, I feel like, If I’m not helping them, who else gon’ help them?”
