Slate’s CEO, Chris Barman, explains that the brand was founded to serve consumers so often ignored by mainstream car makers. The company’s truck adopts an avant-garde model: transformable from a basic 2-seat pickup into a personalized 5-seat SUV with its flat-pack accessory SUV Kit.

The truck offers additional customizable options encompassing three vehicle wrap levels, a variety of interior accents, and more than 100 accessory choices.

Taking a departure from contemporary tech features, the Slate truck features practical, yet retro touches like manual roll-down windows, classic dashboard controls, and a general gadget holder in place of an in-built screen. Its small-scale design gives out vibes reminiscent of European vehicles like Toyota’s compact pickups and evokes classic Land Rover charm.
